Our Programs and Themes described in this section help ensure
that International Financial Institution (IFI) investments
promote gender equality and women's rights.
We work on our Programs and Themes together with global and
local partners in developing and transition countries —
countries transitioning from socialist to market economies.
Our partners are existing women's rights groups in the global
South and other international groups that pressure IFIs on
social justice, human rights, environment, debt cancellation,
transparency, governance and other issues. We support these
groups by producing ground-breaking analysis to inform their
work and jointly conduct advocacy. We also transfer skills
and strengthen capacity to analyze and conduct advocacy for
women's rights and gender equality in IFI investments.
